trappa 518
Just made strawberry jam and its perfect, god im good! We went picking strawbs at one of those pick your own spots and had a great time and it was unbelievably cheap too, about a quarter price of supermarkets/grocers. Not as cheap as my allotment still but i dont get vast numbers from there. Anyway, after eating our fill from the 5lb or so we picked i made jam a couple of days ago, and used the rest up on some more jam this morning.

bert the fert 28
Good on ya, mate I get a real buzz out of making my own stuff; you know what goes in it, and it's waaaay nicer than processed food. I also think it's nice to do hampers for christmas pressies for friends, filled with all the good things you've preserved/baked/bottled etc.
